With 2020 being 2020, it’s been a difficult year for creative successes. My writing has taken a backseat to keeping a business afloat, avoiding endless doomscrolling, and seriously adjusting my plans and expectations for the year (something I think we all can relate to, on some level).
Which is why I’m thrilled to have learned that the manuscript I’m currently querying and co-authored with Marie Parks, Unrelenting, was chosen as a finalist for Book Pipeline’s 2020 Unpublished Competition. We’ll find out our final placement in early November!
A contemporary fantasy novel, Unrelenting follows a determined woman on the hunt for her missing sister. As she researches, explores, and eavesdrops, she learns that the strange disappearance is linked to a hidden world ruled by powerful beings who wield elemental and physical magic—like firestorms and plagues.
Unrelenting has been a labor of love six years in the making, and we’re so excited to get one step closer to putting it out to the world.
Marie has written more about the competition on her blog, so head on over to get the details!
